A Ronan Company launches Shopping.com blog today...
It was a quiet launch, because we have all been so busy. But a little company in Dallas launched another fortune 500 blog today. Not much to say other than it was a quick and quiet launch. Shopping.com is a subsidiary of EBay and has 60 million SKU's in their product catalog. It's by far one of the largest online communities the web has seen in its network. Obviously, leveraging the EBay network gives Shopping.com an advantage.
It will take some time for Shopping.com to find their voice, but they will get there. Check out their blog if you have a chance.....maybe you can even get a comment through:
WhatsInStoreBlog
Also, look for some more big things to come from our friends at Southwest Airlines.
Chris
(earlier in this post I mentioned "60 million registered users" -- I was incorrect. The correct statement was 60 million SKU's.)

Great Pix, Newt!
Newt, Great pictures. I'm going to have to figure out how you linked the pix. Hope you are well. Would you be interested in meeting me in Mass. early this summer with Tony & Bob?

2.25 miles today
Ran 2.25 miles today, hard, in 7 minute intervals. HR was steady at 150 after each interval until the last one when I increased my speed; HR was 160 after that. Walked .75 miles.

From Alec:
So proud of you momma.
Last night before work, I worked out for three hours on a dry tooling circuit that we have setup on the ceiling of a friends house. No feet allowed we throw figure fours (leg over your arm, for rest) for hours complimenting a vigorous full body workout.
And this Spring break played host to 15-20 one pitch climbing routes amounting to about 1200 to 1600 ft. of rock climbing.

Talked with Gina - after running 6 hard
Spoke with Aunt Gina today. Good to catch up. This morning I ran six with my buddy Shawn. I might as well have been dragged behind a car going 60 mph. I am frazzled. Will post more later.

Why Start a Ronan and Children Blog
To my loved ones:
Here I am at 51 years of age learning how to run. MaryJean is already a runner, Betsy is training for a marathon, Kirrin is a runner, Katie is a runner, Colleen is a runner, Adam is training for a marathon, Alana and Alec are runners, Chris is a bicyclist, Olivia plays soccer, Bill plays soccer and has recently taken up running. Newt is an avid outdoors man (r u still running?), I know that Bernadette works out; Kate goes to Curves. I thought, how cool would it be if the Ronan family had one place to go to post training updates, race results and other items about our families.
I envision posting to not be limited to training and fitness, but academic, social, musical....all talents and thoughts expressed by those Ronan and their children.
I would like to invite my family's input; would you post your accomplishments, thoughts, ideas and photos on a family blog?
Love & hugs,
Gina
